About Me
Emmelina Louise Victoria Audigier, born September 1978 in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
I love my cats and our puppy Uisce the ever bouncy Irish water spaniel. Foggy my oldest cat is famous for being beautiful and receives fan mail from around the world. This is because my mother Elizabeth Audigier has been writing a road test column for the Artist's Choice magazine for many years and over time Foggy has become a huge focal point of them. Leo was rescued from an outdoor life and rules the house with a relaxed paw. Tiger, was given to us by a friend who was moving back to England and is beginning to gather quite a following of his own.
Much of my artwork is inspired by the colours around me in Connemara. Unlike my mothers stunningly realistic watercolours, I tend to prefer bold patterns and colours and like to focus in on a small detail and expand on it. Connemara is one of the most beautiful spots in Ireland if you are interested in learning more about this area please visit the Go Connemara site
I love books and in particular the fantasy and science fiction side of literature. This is often reflected in my paintings for children. Much of the sense of wonder I feel when reading about distant and improbable situations is reflected in my subject matter, and my colour pallet.
